Magic

This handsome boy was dumped at the Bakersfield shelter by his owner who said he “no longer wanted him”. This was the best day of Magic’s life but for Magic, it was also one of the most traumatic. It’s very clear that he was beaten often with a stick or broom or something but he’s learning that some humans are safe. He’s only 5 years old, he has so much love to give. He sleeps with his foster human and he gets along well with the other dogs.

Magic needs an understanding person who will let him heal at his own pace. He’s only 7 pounds and he’s afraid of some men. We think this will change in time and he's not dearful of all men, plus he loves all of our female volunteers and friends. Magic is a gorgeous special soul who deserves a better life.
