Oat - Adopted!
Our boy has found his best and forever home. Finally he will be the center of attention and the apple of someone’s eye. We nursed this little guy through two surgeries, one of which was scary and the other, unexpected but he is his best self now. We are so proud. Special thanks to the angels who saved him from the streets with love and then sent him to us. We love you Oat.

We did not name this adorable boy, but he is tiny and sweet as an oat, so the name suits him well. He was found wandering the streets of Sonoma with no teeth or body fat to keep him alive. Luckily, two wonderful humans took him in and cared for him for almost a year, but they are not allowed to keep him due to rental restrictions. We were happy to be this sweet little dog’s soft place to land. Oat gets along perfectly well with all of the other Troopers, dog and cat alike, and he loves all humans. He also loves warm places to sleep. He can eat his soft food on his own fairly well, and is really good at taking his meds, which are for seizures. We have a large supply of those meds that will go with him to his new home. He has not had a seizure in months.
Oat is housebroken as far as we can tell. He will bark a few times when we leave him at home with the other dogs, but then finds his way back to the warm fluffy human bed to wait for the human to come home. At just 5 pounds, he's a dog who can go everywhere with his person. We think he's around 9 years old, and kinda perfect
