Nugget (and Annie) - Adopted!

Some things are rare in this world like unicorns, bigfoot, chupacabra, and people who adopt mamas and puppies together. Our faith in humanity continues to be bolstered by our volunteers, our dogs, and especially our adopters.

This (very) bossy puppy and her mother, Annie Oakley,  have been adopted by the sweetest people in a big extended family. They will never be without an adoring human and they will always have each other.

This mom and pup would be oblivious to the other dogs and pups in the shelter because they were so bonded and enthralled with playing and snuggling, exclusively with each other. Annie never took her eyes off of Nugget and if we separated them for even a few minutes, Annie would panic and try to dig her way out of the courtyard to find Nugget. We could not be happier to know they never have to live without each other. It's as if we found a unicorn.

This little girl has all the confidence in the World. Her bags are packed, she's ready to move into your heart forever.  Nugget comes to us following her (and dozens of other pups') surrender to an overcrowded shelter in Texas.

Please note that puppies cannot be released to their new families until they are at least eight weeks of age.
