Malibu - Adopted!

THIS is a true success story.  Nothing makes us happier than to see one of our most traumatically injured dogs land in a loving home.  It's great news on all fronts, in fact.  Malibu's xrays have shown that her numerous injures have healed and as you can see, she is off to her forever home - love is truly in bloom!  Let's all just take a moment....

She is the toughest little dog you will ever meet. She survived some terrible injuries while nursing and raising a litter of 10 puppies. 10 puppies is a lot for a little 12-pound dog and she did it all with a broken back and two breaks in her pelvis. We are so proud of her. She still loves to teach her pups how to play and she protects them diligently in all scenarios. If one of them squeaks, she appears out of nowhere to make sure her baby is okay. That being said, she is ready to be the baby and to move on to the next stage of life. We want the very best for her since she's had a tough road so far. She gets to run free here at LTR because she's not a flight risk and she loves to stay with the pack. Malibu is affectionate, she loves to sleep on the bed with her humans, and is incredibly intelligent. On top of all of this, she is gorgeous. The rust color in her hair is stunning in the sunshine and her eyes literally twinkle. She has nothing but love to offer.

We still need to do some imaging on her back to make sure everything is healing well but that cannot happen until September so she will need to come back to us for this costly vet visit. It's highly unlikely she will need surgery but we must make sure all is well.

Malibu is around 1.5 years old, seems to be housebroken, and walks well on a leash. She's good with all ages of humans, other dogs, and our resident cat Yukon. She was tempted to chase him at first but she's a fast learner so one "no", did the trick.
