Gracie
OK, not exactly "staying in our lane", but we couldn't refuse this poor soul. We were contacted about Gracie while she was living alone in a park in Stockton with horrible mange and a body filled with secondary infections, plus a fever. She didn't know where her next meal or drink of water would come from while she sat on a dirty blanket in a park alone, for weeks.
Wonderful people started to feed her but no one could give her the care she needed so we stepped up, even though we are a "small" dog rescue. We're so happy we did! Gracie is the most amazing survivor. She shows no signs of trauma, fear, or aggression. Her body is healing fast and her immune system is functioning again.
Gracie weighs about 50 pounds but still needs to gain some weight. Her foster mom is training Gracie not to dash out of doors but otherwise she does everything right. She's housebroken and eager to learn. She loves to play with other dogs and has loads of energy. We think she's around 2 years old.
