Amelia Earhart - Adopted!

Amelia is proof that miracles do happen. We found her because we had a rescue partner offering to fly a dog back from an overcrowded shelter in Texas so we went to their website to find someone who really needed out.

Dogs like Amelia seldom get out alive but we saw her photo and the wheels were in motion. Fast forward four months later when we get an application from the most amazing couple who only rescue senior special needs dogs. They came up and Amelia instantly fell in love with them. We suspect the feeling is mutual.

We thought Amelia would live out her days with us but she now has her very own home where she will be loved and protected the way she always should have been.   Love is possible.

Amelia's about 845 years old but in many ways you would never know it.  Sure she has zero teeth left and walks kinda weird and slow but her bright sweet spirit bursts through her eyes and into your heart.

Amelia loves to ramble around all day, inside, outside, wherever the humans are. She's either rambling along with no real destination or she's sleeping in her electric bed. That's it.

She's an 8-pound, two-trick pony who gets really excited when the human comes back home. We think she deserves to spend the rest of her days basking in love. (Ask us how she got her name...)
