LUCY & WINSTON

Eight pounds of poodle!!! Adopted via transfer.

Lucy and Winston hit the jackpot when our friends at Muttville offered to help them.  Muttville's tremendous network gave them phenomenal exposure and within a day of their transfer, they were adopted.  We are grateful to Sherri Franklin and Muttville!

These sweet poodles came to us in rough shape because they were used for breeding, then neglected and forced to live outside in a shed for most of their lives. It's no shock they now prefer to sleep on human pillows next to human heads in human beds and let's be real, they deserve such luxury.   Please note, we must be adopted together!

Lucy (the darker reddish one) 4 lbs, 12 ish years

This little woman knows what she wants and is not afraid to ask for it. Her desire for affection and food make her relatable despite her Hollywood demeanur. During her spay surgery, our brilliant vet discovered a ticking timbomb inside this teeny little creature. Her uterus was badly infected but luckily, we got to her just in time. It's out of her body now along with a bunch of rotten teeth so she is a healthy little poodle, ready for exciting adventures in her new home! She loves car rides, electric blankets, all other animals (except flies) and time with her humans and brother Winston. Lucy has some bald spots on her back from constant sun exposure we're guessing but the rest of her hair is healthy and growing. Bald spots and all, we thing you'll find her to be a gorgeous little dog.

Winston, 4 lbs, 12 ish years

Winston is famous for his camel like gait and rock-star good looks. He's a very brave little dude but he startles easily and growls (just a smidge) at the other dogs in his foster home. He doesn't fight but is kinda grumpy towards them. He'll need a little extra care and understanding while he builds his confidence. Someone may have been rough with him because he was very fearful when he first arrived. He absolutely loves car rides in big foam car seats for dogs so he can look out the windows at the World passing by. It's a joy to watch him experience a world he did not know existed for most of his 12 years on this planet. He too is excited to experience life and love with new humans and an old friend, his "sister" Lucy. We do not know if they're actually related but we do know; they have (a sad) shared history which we are quickly erasing from their little hearts and minds. Winston also had lots of teeth removed and was neutered at the same time. His hair has been filling in quite a bit since we've had him so expect to see this little guy with a stunning coat of curls in a year or so.
